I love the smile on Obed's face. Then he has something wonderful to smile about.

The Author Says:
Faith has played a significant role in my life. It is my desire to share this message of hope with young people. In Matthew 19:14, Jesus says to His disciples, “…Let the little children come to me…for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” We are also instructed in the Gospel of Matthew to become like little children if we wish to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3). My wish is that God uses me and my stories to draw children closer to Him.

LITTLE SHEPHERD Review
By Cheryl C. Malandrinos
What if you were outside, the stars sparkling in the sky, and an angel suddenly appeared. What if the angel spoke to you and other angels appeared, praising God? What would you do? Obed, a five-year-old shepherd boy, witnessed such an event one evening, while he and his father watched the flock. So what did they do?
In LITTLE SHEPHARD, a picture book for readers ages 4- 8, by Author Cheryl C. Malandrinos, Obed and his father decide to walk to Bethlehem, where the angel told them a “Savior has been born.” Obed worries about the sheep, but his father believes they are being cared for. I won’t give away what they find when they reach Bethlehem, but I believe young readers will follow along in anticipation of the amazing scene awaiting Obed and his father.
Cheryl C. Malandrinos has written a story about the faith and trust of a young boy in his father. LITTLE SHEPHERD is also a story of miracles. Beautiful illustrations by Eugene E. Ruble show, through facial expressions, the emotions of each character as they see the angels, worry about the sheep, and witness the scene in Bethlehem. This book would make a nice addition to church libraries, school, libraries and day care centers, and of course to your own library. LITTLE SHEPHERD is the perfect read to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas. A lovely story, Ms. Malandrinos.
